Maca Truffles Recipe

Around this time every year, Noorish Conscious Eatery’s infamous dessert kitchen would put out a really yummy, aphrodisiac-infused raw truffle to enjoy with your lover or loved ones. This recipe is a take on those truffles with the slight addition of more available ingredients. Enjoy!

1/2 CUP Almond Flour (grind raw almonds into a fine crumble or use a pre-made almond flour)

10 PIECES Whole Dates (Medjool or Deglet will work, of course pitted!)

4 TBSP Cacao Powder

1 TBSP Maca Powder

2 TBSP MCT oil or melted coconut oil

2 TBSP of any nut butter you prefer

2 TBSP Maple Syrup

1 TSPN Cinnamon

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Combine all ingredients into a food processor and blend until consistently smooth.

  2. Roll into one-inch balls and dust the top with your preference of garnish: more cacao and cinnamon, cinnamon and monkfruit sugar mixed, pecans, goji berries, cacao nibs and sea salt. Get creative!

  3. Stick in the freezer for 15 minutes and serve chilled or leave them in the freezer until they’re ready to eat. They can last up to 3 months frozen.

  4. Side note: for a more “purist” chocolate truffle, remove the almond flour and add 2 TBSP of lucuma instead. The almond flour adds a bit of texture that makes it heartier, but follow these instructions to make it more like a fudge.
